Aishwarya Rai Cannes 2025 Looks
Aishwarya made a grand entrance on the Cannes red carpet in a beautiful ivory saree by designer Manish Malhotra. The saree had silver and rose gold detailing, handwoven with Kadwa brocade technique. Representing her Indian culture, she completed the look by sporting a bright sindoor in her hair parting, which became a topic of discussion. It was seen as a subtle nod to Operation Sindoor, a possible tribute or a response to shut down ongoing divorce rumours.
For her second day at Cannes, Aishwarya opted for a different look inspired by old Hollywood glamour but adding an Indian touch to it. She wore a black gown with hand embroidered with an abstract rendition of the cosmos in bursts of silver, gold, charcoal, and black elements. Her special brocade cape is handwoven in Varanasi, customised by Gaurav Gupta. What made her look standout was the verse from the Bhagavad Gita inscribed on the long floor touching cape. Her bold red lips and wavy curls also added to her fashion drama on the red carpet.
