Allu Arjun has been awarded the Best Actor honour at the prestigious Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2025 for his stellar performance in Pushpa 2: The Rule. The announcement was made by the Government of Telangana on Thursday. This marks the inaugural edition of the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards after 14 years, and Allu Arjun has now become the first recipient of the Best Actor accolade.

The Pushpa 2 actor, expressing his heartfelt gratitude shared a post on X. “I am truly honoured to receive the first Best Actor award for Pushpa 2 at the Gaddar Telangana Film Awards 2025” Allu Arjun wrote. “Heartfelt thanks to the Government of Telangana for this prestigious honour. All credit goes to my director Sukumar garu, my producers, and the entire Pushpa team. I dedicate this award to all my fans, your unwavering support continues to inspire me,” he further added.

The Gaddar awards have been named in memory of the late revolutionary poet and balladeer Gaddar, and aim to celebrate excellence in Telugu cinema. The jury for this year’s awards was chaired by versatile actress Jayasudha. The award ceremony is scheduled to take place on 14th June at HITEX in Hyderabad, where the honours will be formally presented.

Alongside Allu Arjun, other prominent winners include actress Nivetha Thomas, singer Shreya Ghoshal, and Nag Ashwin for Kalki 2898 AD.

Allu Arjun’s win comes on the back of the massive success of Pushpa 2: The Rule, which has become one of the highest-grossing Indian movies of all time. The movie has reportedly earned over Rs 1,800 crore at the global box office. With record-breaking pre-release business, extraordinary opening day figures, and a sustained performance both domestically and internationally. The Telugu film has further cemented Allu Arjun’s position as one of India’s foremost cinematic stars.

The Gaddar Telangana Film Awards have set a strong precedent in their inaugural year, and Allu Arjun’s historic win adds another milestone to his illustrious cinematic career.
