Alpha Movie New Release Date Out: Alia Bhatt and Sharvari starrer action movie is creating stirr online since its announcement. Directed by Shiv Rawail, the movie will feature Alia and Sharvari as female agents in their never-before-seen avatar. The movie also stars Bobby Deol in pivotal roles. Earlier the movie was set for Christmas 2025 release but according to latest development the makers have pushed the release date further. 

Yash Raj Films confirmed that Alpha will now hit the big screen on April 17, 2026. According to reports, "Alpha is an extremely special film for us and we want to present the film in its most cinematic self. We have realised that the VFX will take a little longer than what we had initially assumed. We want to leave no stone unturned to make Alpha into a theatrical experience for everyone to cherish. Thus, we will now release the film on April 17, 2026.” While Sharvari made her Bollywood debut with YRF's 'Bunty Aur Babli 2', 'Alpha' marks Alia's first collaboration with the banner and her entry into its spy universe, which includes films like 'Pathaan', 'Tiger 3', and 'War 2'.

Meanwhile reports further stated, "Alpha' team wants to put out the best film for audiences to enjoy. It is a fair move by YRF. This was brewing as the VFX team was under a lot of pressure with regards to timelines which was seeming unrealistic. So, the push of release date is due to this only and not because of the current cluttered release window from Avatar to the end of January 2026. There is significant work pending and that’s why Alpha is releasing in April and not February."

On the other hand, the post-credits scene of Hrithik Roshan, Jr NTR's 'War 2' showed Bobby Deol and a young girl with the former telling her the significance of 'Alpha'. The film also features Anil Kapoor who has joined as the new RAW chief. Alia and Sharvari will go toe to toe against Bobby in this brutal showdown that is a part of YRF Spy Universe. The movie is expected to be one of the most anticipated releases of 2026.
