Ranveer Singh-starrer Dhurandhar’s trailer launch has been making headlines due to statements made by the cast and makers. During the event, director Aditya Dhar, known for delivering the blockbuster Vicky Kaushal starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike, revealed how the entire team, including actors and crew members, worked 16-18 hours continuously for 1.5 years. Despite the hectic schedule, he didn't receive any complaints from anyone. This statement created a buzz on social media, as it came at a time when Ranveer’s wife and actress Deepika Padukone's 8-hour shift demand debate after embracing motherhood. Due to this alleged request, she has been removed from two major projects, Sandeep Reddy Vanga’s upcoming movie Spirit and Nag Ashwin’s Kalki 2.
Aditya Dhar praised the Dhurandhar team's dedication at the film' trailer event, saying, "Everybody has put their heart and soul into the film, and it doesn’t happen very often. The HODs got involved in the film with a pure intent. From actors, assistance, HODs to spot dadas — everybody was like iss film ke liye jaan deni hai. We have worked for 16 -18 hours continuously for 1.5 years and not even once has anyone complained ki sir aap hamse zyada kaam kara rahe ho. Everybody has given their 100%.”

Ranveer also hailed Aditya's dedication and hard work for the film. He said, “We were at a very similar stage in life when we met for this film over the past two years, we both have grown together. He had a baby boy. I had a baby girl and we worked out of our skin to make sure that our people, our team, our families, our audience are proud of what we made over here.”

Deepika recently opened up about her changing priorities in the film industry, focusing more on storytelling than big-budget movies. In an interview with Harper's Bazaar, she said, "Because honestly, how much more fame, how much more success, how much more money? At this stage, it’s not about that anymore. It’s not about the Rs 100-crore films, or even the Rs 500- 600 crore ones."
Further explaining her changed approach towards work, Deepika added, "Anything that doesn't feel true to me doesn't cut it. Sometimes people offer a lot of money and think that's enough, but it isn't. And the reverse is also true-some things may not be commercially big, but I believe in the people or the message, and I'll stand by it."
Amid her ongoing debate, she also spoke about how overworking is normalised in India. In the same interview, Deepika stated, “We’ve normalised overworking. We mistake burnout for commitment. Eight hours of work a day is enough for the human body and mind. Only when you’re healthy can you give your best. Bringing a burnt-out person back into the system helps no one.”
