Diljit Dosanjh Controversy: Diljit Dosanjh's much-awaited movie, Sardaar Ji 3, has been dominating headlines for all the wrong reasons! On Sunday, hours after the Punjabi singer-actor shared the trailer on his social media accounts, online users criticised him for collaborating with Pakistani actor Hania Aamir. Filmmaker Ashoke Pandit has appealed to producers not to cast him (Diljit Dosanjh) in response to the ongoing dispute.
Diljit Dosanjh's controversy follows the recent terror attack in Pahalgam on April 22 and India's Operation Sindoor on May 7, which involved airstrikes against militant camps in Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. FWICE has enforced a complete ban on Pakistani actors, musicians, and technicians in the Indian movie business.
Ashoke Pandit described the Punjabi singer-actor as a 'regular lawbreaker' who frequently supports Pakistani artists in an interview with ANI. "The matter is very serious because Diljit Dosanjh is a compulsive, regular lawbreaker, as far as our industry is concerned. He has always promoted Pakistani performers, Pakistani singers, Pakistani actors. He knows the reason. When the industry is appealing to him, and there is no need to appeal to the industry, when it comes to the nation, the integrity of the nation, the internal security of the nation, even then, this person makes the same mistake again and again (sic)," he said.

Additionally, Ashoke Pandit called on producers to entirely boycott him and to stop using his services and casting him in movies. He shared, "We will issue another notice, where we are appealing to our producer bodies, to all the members of the producer association, that please don't cast him, please don't work with him. And apart from this, all the event companies, we are writing to them, that in any of their events, don't let him participate, don't hire his services. It is very important to boycott him from this country... (sic)."

Meanwhile, the FWICE denounced Diljit Dosanjh and the Sardaar Ji 3 crew for the 'anti-national act' in an open letter to the Prime Minister on Monday. The controversy erupted after the trailer featured Hania Aamir, particularly in light of the Pahalgam attack and her remarks following the retaliation by the Indian military forces under Operation Sindoor.
Sardaar Ji 3 was shot before the Pahalgam incident, the Free Press Journal reported. Diljit Dosanjh's movie will not release in Indian theatres. It was said that the decision was made to prevent public and regulatory criticism.
