Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain's Actor Shubhangi Atre Confirms Shilpa Shinde's Return As Angoori Bhabhi: 'I Am Passing It Back'

The casting of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain's iconic character Angoori Bhabhi has been making headlines after rumours of Shubhangi Atre's exit from the show. The actress recently confirmed her departure, revealing that she is being replaced by former Angoori Bhabhi, Shilpa Shinde. Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain, one of television's most popular sitcoms since its debut in 2015, originally featured Bigg Boss 11 winner. Following her fallout with the makers, Shubhangi stepped into the role in 2016, and now, nearly a decade later, she is handing it back. With her statement, Shubhangi has put an end to the replacement speculation.

Shubhangi Atre Confirms Exit From Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain

After being part of Bhabiji Ghar Par Hain and playing Angoori Bhabhi for ten years, Shubhangi Atre has bid goodbye to the show. In an interview with Bombay Times, Shubhangi shared, “I always promised Mrs Kohli that my journey in the show would start with aan, baan aur shaan and that is exactly how it would end too. I could not have asked for a better exit. There is no point delving into the reasons for the replacement. I see it as a blessing in disguise because as an artiste, I want to explore new characters. The idea is to step out of here and start looking for work again. After seeing so much in life, I am in fighter mode now and focused only on my daughter and my work.”

Shubhangi Reacts To Shilpa Replacing Her In BGPH

Confirming Shilpa's return as Angoori Bhabhi, the actress added, “I just want to say that I am ending this replacement game now. I told my mum that Shilpa left the show in nine to ten months, so it felt like she handed me a newborn baby. I raised that baby for ten years and now I am returning it to her. I gave it values and sanskars, and I am passing it back with a full heart. I wish Shilpa all the very best and also the entire team for the 2.0 version of the show. She is a fantastic actor, and I am genuinely fond of her."

This is not the first time Shubhangi has portrayed Shilpa's character post her exit. She had earlier taken over the role of Koyal Narayan in Chidiya Ghar, which was later played again by Shilpa.
