The grand finale of Bigg Boss 19 turned emotional after host and actor Salman Khan paid an emotional tribute to legendary actor Dharmendra, who passed away on November 24, 2025. The late actor had made several appearances on Salman's reality show and had promised to appear this season. While talking about Bollywood's He-Man, Salman, who shared a close bond and always considered him as his father figure, got teary-eyed, along with the BB19 contestants. The veteran star also referred to Salman as his own son. Read on to find out how Salman honoured Dharmendra on the BB19 stage.

Salman Khan Gets Emotional Remembering Dharmendra 

Holding back tears, Salman played a clip featuring Dharmendra’s moments on the Bigg Boss set. After the video ended, he was seen in tears as he said, “Jab aap log andar the, we lost our he man. Our most amazing man, Dharmendra ji. I don’t think Dharam ji se better koi aadmi hai. Aur jo unhone life ji hai, king size ji hai, dil khol ke ji hai and 60 saal entertainment diya, Sunny, Bobby diya. And sabse achchi baat hai jab se unhone industry join ki aur abhi tak, bas kaam karna hai. Unhone har tarah ka role kia hai—comedy, action. My career graph has always followed Dharmendra ji. He came with an innocent face and a He-Man’s body. That charm stayed with him till the end. Love you, Dharmji. Will always miss you.”

Salman further praised Sunny Deol and Bobby Deol for holding a dignified funeral and prayer meet for their father. He was heard saying, “The main thing is… he died on 24 November, that’s my father’s birthday, and tomorrow is his birthday, as well as my mum’s. If I’m feeling like this, imagine what Sunny and his family must be going through. There were two funerals conducted with utmost dignity: Sooraj Barjatya’s mother’s and Dharmji’s. They held his prayer meet with so much grace and honour. Everyone was crying, but there was a decorum — a celebration of life. Hats off to Bobby and Sunny. Every funeral and prayer meeting should be conducted this beautifully.”

Dharmendra, one of the beloved actors of Indian cinema, passed away on November 24, 2025, at the age of 89. He had been battling age-related health complications and was undergoing treatment. Despite medicial attention, his health deteriorated, and he passed away. His family, including sons Sunny and Bobby Deol remained by his side during his final days. Recently, a prayer meet was held by the Deol family in Bandra, where Salman, along with other Bollywood celebrities, was spotted.

On Dharmendra’s 90th birth anniversary, the Deol family has planned to honour the late actor by opening their Khandala farmhouse to fans on December 8.
