Yuzvendra Chahal’s divorce from his ex-wife Dhanashree Verma grabbed a lot of eyeballs as the duo separated after being married for a very short period. For a long time, none of them expressed what they felt regarding the whole situation, but recently, the Indian bowler opened up about his thoughts on Raj Shamani’s podcast. During the conversation he revealed his mental state after divorce as he used to stay depressed and suffer anxiety attacks. He also mentioned the controversy surrounding his viral t-shirt, ‘be your own sugar daddy,’ and explained that he just wanted to give a message.

Dhanashree Verma has maintained her silence throughout this phase. But recently, the content creator took to her Instagram and posted a series of photos, showcasing herself embracing the single life after being divorced. The young choreographer has spent most of her initial life in Dubai, and she revisited the place to reconnect with her roots.

Dhanashree Verma posted an aesthetic photodump from her Dubai getaway that featured delicious vada pava and pani puri treats, golden hour outings and temple visits. Her caption read, “Back in Dubai after what feels like a lifetime. Growing up here gave me so many core memories and seeing how much the city has evolved was both surreal and heartwarming. One of the highlights was visiting this beautiful Hindu temple - peaceful, powerful, and a reminder of how far this city has come in embracing culture and community. Grateful for the growth, the roots, and the reconnection."

Interestingly, Dhanashree’s post came right after Chahal’s video went viral, where he publicly talked about their divorce for the first time. The cricketer made it clear that he wore the ‘sugar daddy’ t-shirt, not intending to create drama, but in response to an action which pushed him to do something like this.

The duo met during the Covid times and tied the knot in 2020. After facing irreconcilable issues, they reportedly started living separately and finalised their divorce in 2022. As per several reports, Dhanashree Verma received Rs 4.75 crore in alimony from Yuzvendra Chahal.
