Actress Taapsee Pannu took a subtle dig at Yash and Kiara Advani's big-budget pan-India movie Toxic: A Fairytale For Grown Ups. She said she would rather retire than work on 'such films'. The Internet believes her remarks were aimed at Toxic, even though she didn't mention any specific movie or actor.

Did Taapsee Pannu Take A Dig At Kiara Advani's Toxic Role?

Taapsee Pannu stated that she felt 'privileged' to have begun her career ten years ago, when Hindi mainstream movies were distinct and not of 'one kind', in a conversation with Suchin Mehrotra

Taapsee Pannu said, "Someone like me wouldn't have had a career, you know, if this was the time where only this kind of stuff was getting made (sic)."

Then, Taapsee Pannu disclosed that she recently spoke with her family while revisiting a couple of the recently released movies. She stated that, as an actor, she does not wish to appear in these kinds of movies. "I thought whether it is my time to retire."

The actress shared, "I love my job, but not so much so blindly. I don't love my job blindly, to be doing that, those kinds of films."

The Internet began reacting to the video as soon as it went viral, accusing Taapsee Pannu of taking a dig at Kiara Advani's role in Toxic.

Another user wrote, "Actually, Tapsee Pannnu did all those films on the beginning of the career only. So there is nothing left for her to offer. Now stop crying @taapsee. @advani_kiara has a great career."

A third user said, "I agree that female-oriented roles are few, but she needs to also accept that her monotone acting doesn't exactly make her first choice among makers too, she's just an avg actress not Tabu or Kangana, to feel all this and throw shade on others."

A fourth user wrote, "Her career is already over and one more thing if Taapsee gets 15-20 crore even she will do this role, so whatever she is saying is completely bullshit."
