The filmmaker said, "Mona, you were so good in Laal Singh Chadha yaar. I am sorry, Aamir, but she was the best thing in Laal Singh Chadha. Like you were so good. Tujhe pata hai hi, tu hai achi actor!"
Released in 2022, Laal Singh Chaddha was directed by Advait Chandan. Mona in the movie played the role of Gurpreet Kaur Chaddha, Laal's mother, played by Aamir.
Earlier, Aamir has talked about the film's box office failure and how his family and friends reacted to it. In an interview with ABP News, he shared, “It’s a film close to my heart. Advait, Kareena and the whole cast and crew worked hard and it didn’t do well. Two things happened, after a long time my film didn’t work, so family and friends would come home to ask me, If I’m okay?’ I realised that I’m getting a lot of love after a flop. That was the funny side of it."
