Popular Indian rapper Honey Singh cancelled his performance at an award show in Mohali, Punjab, after disagreement over security. He wanted his own team at the venue, but the organisers said that their setup with the Punjab police is enough. As per a report by India Today, Singh’s team was denied entry at the location and they were stopped at the gate because of his large security detail. When Honey Singh’s team was not allowed in, he decided to leave the venue and cancelled his performance.

A source told the new outlet, “As per the protocols, they did not allow any other external members on the ground for anyone. However, Honey Singh was persistent in getting his own safety unit as a precautionary measure. While the organisers understood and respected his demands, given the overall security plans, they could not agree to it. After a long discussion with the organisers, the musician left the venue, refusing to perform.”

The incident happened on August 23 but it has come to light now. Honey Singh or his team have not made any comment on the same yet.

On the work front, Honey Singh collaborated with Shehnaaz Gill for the first time for a track in his debut production project, Ikk Kudi. Well, it is a Punjabi movie which has been written and directed by Amarjit. The film was initially set to release on June 13 but was postponed due to several reasons.
