Actor Abhishek Bachchan has delivered remarkable performances throughout his 25-year career in the film industry. With his hard work, he has won his first-ever Filmfare Best Actor Award in a leading role for his 2024 film I Want To Talk. He got emotional while receiving the award and revealed that he had practised the speech so many times, he couldn't even remember the number. He thanked his team and family for their support throughout his journey. He specially mentioned his father Amitabh Bachchan, and daughter, Aaradhya, calling them his heroes. On the 70th Filmfare Awards 2025 stage, Abhishek also thanked his wife Aishwarya for her constant support.
Abhishek shared the Best Actor in Leading Role- Male award with Kartik Aaryan, who won for his performance in Chandu Champion. During his speech, Abhishek appeared visibly emotional. Fighting back tears, he delivered a heartfelt speech. He was heard saying, "This year marks 25 years in the film industry, and I cannot remember how many times I’ve practised a speech for this award. This has been a dream, and I’m just so touched and humbled. Receiving it in front of my family makes it even more special. There’s a host of people I need to thank, so please… Kartik (Aaryan), ther jao tum abhi, tum sambhal jao tab tak. Kartik has gotten very emotional and made me speak, thinking I wouldn’t get emotional."

He expressed gratitude towards his director and producers who believed in him and gave him opportunities over the past 25 years.
Abhishek then thanked his wife and daughter, saying, “To Aishwarya and Aaradhya, thank you for allowing me to go out and follow my dreams. I hope that by winning this award, they see that their sacrifices have been one of the main reasons I stand here today. I want to dedicate this award to two very special people. This film is about a father and a daughter, and I want to dedicate it to my hero, my father, and to my other hero, my daughter. Thank you so much, I cannot express what this means to me."

Abhishek played the role of father, Arjun Sen, a cancer survivor navigating personal and emotional challenges in his life. His bond with his daughter resonated with the audience, garnering praise from both viewers and critics alike. Directed by Shoojit Sircar, the film also featured Pearle Dey, Kristin Goodard, Jayant Kripalani, Johnny Lever and Ahilya Bambroo. I Want To Talk is based on a true story of a cancer survivor and the relationship between a father and daughter. It was produced by Ronnie Lahiri under Rising Sun Films and Kino Works.
