Idli Kadai Box Office Collection Day 3: Dhanush and Nithya Menen starrer Tamil action family drama released in theatres on October 1. The film received mixed reviews from the audience and the critics. Despite releasing during the festivities, Idli Kadai has been facing difficult to hold its pace at the ticket windows. The family drama till now crossed Rs 25 crore after a dip again on Friday. One of the reason for downfall is its box office clashes with Kantara Chapter 1 and Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari.

As per Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 5.50 crore on Day 3. The net collection of Idli Kadai stands at Rs 26.25 crore. The film had an overall 35.96 per cent Tamil occupancy on Friday. It had 16.76 per cent occupancy in the morning shows, 38.67 per cent in the afternoon shows, 40.32 per cent in the evening shows and 48.09 per cent in the night shows.

What Is Idli Kadai All About?
The story is about a young man, who leaves his village and father’s humble yet iconic idli eatery to pursue his dream of becoming a renowned chef. It shows the time, when he is a renowned chef at Bangkok and is set to marry. But tragic hits, when the news of his father’s demise bring him back to his village. But the homecoming is not pleasant and his father’s legacy is at stake. He has to overcome all the challenges. Idli Kadai features Dhanush, Nithya Menon, Arun Vijay, Shalini Pandey, Rajkiran, Samuthirakani, Radhakrishnan Parthiban and Geetha Kailasam in key roles. It has been directed by Dhanush and produced by Dhanush, Aakash Baskaran. The music in the film has been composed by GV Prakash.
