Jaya Bachchan recently talked at an occasion about the traits she finds admirable in Amitabh Bachchan. She further clarified that she married her husband since they had distinct personalities. According to Jaya Bachchan, Amitabh Bachchan would rather keep his opinions to himself than express them freely. She playfully stated that she doesn't chose to communicate what he wants to in the proper way.
Jaya Bachchan talked candidly about Amitabh Bachchan and how they are 'very different' from each other in an interview with Barkha Dutt at the We The Women event. She said, "The best thing I like about him is his discipline. I am a big one for discipline. I am a very strict mother."
Jaya Bachchan added, "He does not speak. He is not free with his opinion like I am. He keeps it to himself, but he knows how to convey what he wants to, at the right time, in the right way… which I don’t! That’s the difference. He is a different personality, maybe that’s why I married him. Can you imagine if I had married somebody like me? He would be in Vrindavan and I would be somewhere else."
