Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Day 16: Rishab Shetty starrer Kannada movie, which was released in theatres pan-India, opened with positive reviews from the audience and critics. The film has been seeing continuous downfall in numbers at the ticket windows since its second week days. The film has been facing difficulties in crossing the Rs 500 crore milestone. On its second Friday, Kantara Chapter 1 earned its lowest number since its release. Despite it being a triggering point, the adventure thriller drama is nearing towards its bigger milestone, which is Rs 500 crore.

Kantara Chapter 1 Box Office Collection Day 16

As per Sacnilk, the movie earned Rs 8.50 crore on Day 16. The net collection of Kantara Chapter 1 stands at Rs 493.75 crore. The film had an overall 23.51 per cent Kannada occupancy, 17.06 per cent Telugu occupancy, 9.13 per cent Hindi occupancy, 28.09 per cent Tamil occupancy and 15.39 per cent Malayalam occupancy in theatres.

First Week Collection: Rs 337.4 crore (Kannada: Rs 106.95 crore, Telugu: Rs 63.55 crore, Hindi: Rs 108.75 crore, Tamil: Rs 31.5 crore and Malayalam: Rs 26.65 crore)

Second Week Collection: Rs 147.85 crore (Kannada: Rs 45.7 crore, Telugu: Rs 18.15 crore, Hindi: Rs 54.25 crore, Tamil: Rs 18.3 crore and Malayalam: Rs 11.45 crore.

Day 16: Rs 8.50 crore

What Is The Budget Of Kantara Chapter 1?

According to several reports, the film has been made on a budget of Rs 120 crore. The film easily crossed the budget mark within two days of release.

The film explored the origins of Kaadubettu Shiva during the Kadamba dynasty era. It focuses on the untamed wilderness and forgotten lore surrounding his past. Kantara Chapter 1 stars Rishab Shetty, Rukmini Vasanth, Gulshan Devaiah, Jayaram, Rakesh Poojari, Pramod Shetty, Achyuth Kumar and Prakash Thuminad in significant roles. The movie has been written and directed by Rishab Shetty. It is the prequel to the 2022 blockbuster movie Kantara.
