Kubbra Sait, one of Bollywood’s most outspoken and talented actresses, has opened up about one of the most difficult periods of her life, the time she chose to have an abortion. The Sacred Games actor, who was last seen in Son of Sardar 2 alongside Ajay Devgn, Mrunal Thakur, and Ravi Kishan, revealed how she once felt conflicted but now feels confident about her decision. Since her breakout performance as Kukoo in Sacred Games (2018), Kubbra has become one of the most respected performers in the industry. She has appeared in Farzi, The Trial, Waqalat From Home, and Shehar Lakhot. The actress will next be seen in Hai Jawani Toh Ishq Hona Hai, co-starring Varun Dhawan, Pooja Hegde, Mrunal Thakur, and Maniesh Paul.

In a recent conversation with Viral Bhayani’s channel, Kubbra Sait reflected on the emotional turmoil she faced back then. She shared, “It’s been many years since that happened, and I’ve had plenty of time to think about it and heal from it. But when a moment like that comes in your life, you find yourself conflicted because along with you are your faith, your responsibilities, and the world around you. You know what your duties are, you’re aware of how society sees you, and you feel torn between what’s right and what’s wrong.”

Kubbra added that such decisions are never easy. “At that time, you don’t really know whether the decision you’re making is correct or not. But today, I can say with full confidence that the decision I made then was the right one for me. Because I know that even if I had made a mistake, God was watching and I would have to face the consequences there, in the hereafter.”

The Son Of Sardaar 2 actor also spoke about how long it took her to process the experience. She recalled that while shooting for a project years later, she often suffered from heavy bleeding, irritability, and emotional distress but chose to stay silent and continue working. It was only while writing her 2022 memoir, Open Book: Not Quite a Memoir, that Kubbra truly confronted her feelings. “Writing it down helped me understand that I needed to be kind to myself and to the choices I made,” she said earlier.
