Asha Bhosle Death News Update: Asha Bhosle died at the age of 92. The singer had respiratory and heart problems on Saturday, which led to her hospitalisation to Mumbai's Breach Candy hospital. The iconic singer was admitted to the hospital due to 'extreme exhaustion and a chest infection', according to an update shared by her granddaughter Zanai Bhosle on X.
Asha Bhosle's son Anand Bhosle confirmed the news of her demise to NDTV, saying, "She is no more. Her last rites will be held at 4 P.M. tomorrow at Shivaji Park in Mumbai".
Asha Bhosle would have turned 93 on September 8, 2026. She is well known for hits like Piya Tu Ab To Aaja, Kajra Mohabbat Wala, Rangeela Re, and Dil Cheez Kya Hai. Several generations of music fans who grew up listening to her tunes have been shocked with her death news.

Asha Bhosle's Musical Journey
Asha Bhosle was regarded as one of the idols of Bollywood's golden age of music in the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s. Her sister Lata Mangeshkar, Mohammad Rafi, Kishore Kumar, Mukesh, Manna Dey, and Bhosle herself were all notable vocalists.

When Asha Bhosle performed her first movie song, Chala Chala Nav Bala, for the 1943 Marathi film Majha Bal, she was only ten years old. The legendary singer established her profundity with ghazals like Dil Cheez Kya Hai and classical works like Tora Man Darpan Kehlaye after initially being labeled for singing dance numbers like O Haseena Zulfonwali.
Asha Bhosle recorded in more than 20 Indian and international languages during her lifetime. She claimed to have recorded more than 12,000 songs over her career in 2006.
