Metro In Dino Trailer Launch: Anurag Basu’s much-awaited musical romantic drama Metro In Dino takes viewers deep into bittersweet relationships in a contemporary world. To bring the story to life, the film stars Sara Ali Khan, Aditya Roy Kapur, Fatima Sana Shaikh, Pankaj Tripathi, Anupam Kher, Neena Gupta, and Ali Fazal. It also features Konkona Sen Sharma, who starred in the original film Life in a... Metro alongside the late actor Irrfan Khan. At the launch event in Mumbai, Anurag revealed that the entire movie and its soundtrack are a tribute to KK and Irrfan.
On Wednesday, during the Metro In Dino trailer launch, the director Anurag Basu was asked if he missed KK, who lent his voice to the first part. To this, the director said, “The whole film and the soundtrack are a tribute to him (KK). The film is a tribute to KK and Irrfan Khan. I was telling Bhushan ji (Bhushan Kumar) today that KK used to complement Pritam’s compositions the most. Not just Life In A Metro, but KK had sung for all my films. Obviously, I will miss him.”
Recently, at the launch of the song Zamaana Lage, Konkona revealed how she missed the presence of her co-star Irrfan during the shoot of the upcoming movie.
She said, "There were so many moments when I missed him during the shoot of the film. Zamaane lagenge unko bhulaane mein... It happened many times, but I don't want to say what and when, because when you watch the film, I think you'll know when. Today, we'll celebrate."
Basu also shared how she cried while shooting a particular scene of Metro In Dino.

The trailer shows multiple intertwined stories of four couples while exploring their personal struggles. Sara Ali Khan and Aditya Roy Kapur portray a transformation from friendship to romantic love. Metro In Dino also gives a glimpse into the relationships of Ali Fazal and Fatima Sana Shaikh, Neena Gupta and Anupam Kher, and Konkona Sen Sharma and Pankaj Tripathi.
Metro In Dino is a spiritual successor to Anurag Basu's 2007 film Life In A Metro, produced by Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, Anurag Basu, and Taani Basu. The music for the film has been composed by Pritam. KK delivered memorable soundtracks in the original film, such as "Alvida" and "O Meri Jaan," both composed by Pritam.
