Dawood Ibrahim’s Drug Parties Controversy: A major drug racket uncovered by the Mumbai Police has stirred widespread attention, especially after reports claimed that several Bollywood celebrities were named during the investigation. According to reports, the case involves a network allegedly run by Mohammed Salim Mohammed Suhail Shaikh, also known as Lavish, who reportedly operated high-profile drug-fuelled parties across India and abroad. Among the names mentioned in the remand copy were actors Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi, Siddhant Kapoor, and Alishah Parkar, the nephew of underworld fugitive Dawood Ibrahim. As per India Today, Salim ran the operation from Dubai, where he is based, while his son Taher Dola deported from the UAE earlier this year reportedly shared further information with investigators. The report claims that actors, models, filmmakers, and even relatives of Dawood Ibrahim attended these gatherings.

Amid the growing controversy, Nora Fatehi became one of the first celebrities to respond publicly. Taking to Instagram Stories, she strongly denied any involvement with the accused or the alleged parties. In her statement, she wrote: “FYI I DONT go to Parties.. Im constantly on flights.. Im a work holic, i dont have a personal life.. I dont associate myself with people like that.. and on my off days im at home on a beach in dubai or with my high school friends! I spend my entire days and nights working on my dreams and goals! Dont believe anything you read!” Nora added that her name was being unfairly targeted, and she would not remain silent this time. She continued: “It seems like my name is an easy target! but i wont allow it to happen this time! It happened once before, you guys tried to destroy me with LIES and it didnt work.. i watched silently as everyone tried their best to slander my name, smear my reputation and use me as clickbait! Please refrain from using my name and image on situations that have absolutely NOTHING to do with me! This will come with a heavy heavy price! Respectfully.”

Meanwhile, the remand copy accessed by India Today states that Salim Shaikh organised drug parties both within India and abroad. It read, “Further investigation into the said accused No. 05 has revealed that he is organising drug parties in the country and abroad and supplying drugs to those parties.” The document further added, “The said accused has previously organised drug parties in the country and abroad with Alisha Parkar, Nora Fatehi, Shraddha Kapoor and her brother Siddharth Kapoor, Zishan Siddiqui, Ori alias Orhan, Abbas Mastaan, Loka and many other people and has himself joined in them and is supplying drugs to these and other people.” According to reports, Shaikh also revealed that cocaine and charas were commonly distributed at these events, which were allegedly attended by celebrities, a politician, and a relative of Dawood Ibrahim. However, police have clarified that the authenticity of these claims is still being verified and that no individual has been formally charged at this stage.

On the other hand, the Mumbai Crime Branch is expected to summon all celebrities named in the report to record their statements as part of the ongoing probe into the Rs 252-crore mephedrone case. Meanwhile, neither Shraddha Kapoor nor her representatives have issued any comment. Nora Fatehi, however, has firmly distanced herself from the case, urging the public not to believe unverified reports.
