Param Sundari Box Office Collection Day 3: Sidharth Malhotra and Janhvi Kapoor led Param Sundari is one of the year's most eagerly awaited films. The romantic comedy opened with mixed reviews on August 29th, 2025. Backed by Maddock Films, the movie had a decent first weekend and kept getting better at the box office. Param Sundari earned Rs 27.54 (nett) crore after three days. The movie, which also stars Manjot Singh is showing its strength with impressive morning show figures today and Rs 11.04 crore on Sunday. The film made a total of Rs 28.48 crore, but it grossed Rs 44.9 crore worldwide. Teri Baaton Mein Aisa Uljha Jiya, Zara Hatke Zara Bachke, Luka Chuppi, Bhool Chuk Maaf are all slice-of-life blockbusters from Maddock Films that left a significant mark at the box office. 

Param Sundari made Rs 7.25 crore on its first day and Rs 9.25 crore on the second day. While Sacnilk claims that Sidharth, Janhvi starrer earned about Rs 10.25 crore, the makers state it made Rs 11.04 crore. Regardless, the movie has already eclipsed Kangana Ranaut's Emergency's lifetime box office receipts of Rs 23.75 crore.

Is Param Sundari Chennai Express?

An investor from Delhi named Param Sachdev (Sidharth Malhotra) lives with his father (Sanjay Kapoor). He comes upon the dating app Find My Soulmate following a string of unsuccessful attempts. The business model intrigues Param, who persuades his father to invest Rs 5 crore despite his doubts about its veracity. In order to verify its legitimacy, he chooses to meet a Keralan girl who seems to be his ideal match on the app. Traveling south with his friend (Manjot Singh), he has low expectations but is becoming more curious.

He meets Thekkepaattu Sundari Damodar Pillai (Janhvi Kapoor) in Kerala, who takes care of her younger sister Amu (Inayat Verma) while operating a homestay in her ancestral home. Sundari is initially turned off by Param and his friend's shallow and clichéd perceptions of Kerala. But as time goes on, they start to become closer. When Sundari discovers the true reason for Param's visit, the developing relationship takes a different turn. She withdraws because she feels betrayed. The narrative of Param Sundari then delves deeper whether love can mend everything, whether Param and Sundari will eventually experience the happy ending they desire.

Param Sundari Controversies

Meanwhile, Param Sundari was surrounded with several controversies prior to its release. The movie was accused of misrepresenting Keralan and Malayalam culture by some Malayali social media users. Manu pointed to Janhvi Kapoor's character and inauthentic accent, which depended on clichés like Mohiniyattam dances and jasmine flowers. Furthermore, it was claimed that the song Danger was a copy of the Pakistani song Laal Suit. Instagram deleted a video in which singer Pavithra Menon questioned the casting in response to a copyright complaint from the filmmakers.
