Big Update On Pralay: After the massive success of Dhurandhar, fans are eagerly waiting for updates on Ranveer Singh's next big project, Pralay. Directed by Jay Mehta, the upcoming zombie survival thriller is expected to be mounted on a massive scale. A new report has now revealed when the film is likely to begin shooting, where it will be filmed, and who is expected to play the female lead opposite Ranveer Singh.

According to a Pinkvilla report, Pralay is expected to go on floors in September 2026. The report claims that Ranveer Singh has already started preparing for the demanding role.

A source told the publication, "Ranveer will begin shooting for Jay Mehta's directorial in the second half of 2026. The film will be shot in Australia, and he has already started preparing. Considering the scale and genre of the film, it requires intense physical and emotional preparation."

Kalyani Priyadarshan Likely To Make Bollywood Debut

The report claims that south actress Kalyani Priyadarshan has been cast as the female lead opposite Ranveer. If confirmed, the film will mark her Bollywood debut. However, the filmmakers have not yet made any official announcement regarding the cast or production schedule.

Australia To Be The Main Filming Location For Pralay

The report further states that pre-production is currently underway in Australia. Director Jay Mehta and his team are reportedly working with technicians who have previously contributed to major international projects.

The makers are said to be focusing on creating the film's large post-apocalyptic world before principal photography begins.

Heavy Use Of Visual Effects In Pralay 

Reports suggest that there will be a lot of visual effects used to bring the zombie universe of Pralay to life. The writing team is still honing the screenplay and expanding the action-packed world of the film.

Ranveer Singh is additionally believed to have been closely involved in the creative discussions of the project during its development stage to help shape it.

Pralay is said to be made at a whopping budget of Rs 300 crore and will be Ranveer Singh’s most expensive solo film till date.
