Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa, who tied knot on November 15, 2021, welcomed their first child on their fourth anniversary. The couple shared the news on their social media handles and announced that they welcomed a baby girl. While announcing the news, Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa, in a joint statement, read, “We are over the moon. God has blessed us with a baby girl.” They captioned it, “The greatest blessing God has given us on our 4th wedding anniversary.”

Soon after the post was shared, friends and fans extended their good wishes to the couple. “ wlecome to the club guys@,” wrote Varun Dhawan. Bharti Singh, who is expecting her second child with her husband Haarsh Limbachiyaa, commented, “congratulations beautiful journey ". “Oh my goddddd!!!! So so happy to hear this . Congratulations you two beautiful people. Mubaarak…," wrote Ali Fazal. “Many many congratulations! can’t wait to see you all @patralekhaa @rajkummar_rao and the lil angel," Neeti Mohan commented. “Congratulations you guys welcome to the best hood … parenthood," Neha Dhupia also added.

A user said, “Such lovely news to hear! Wishing your baby a future full of joy, strength, sweet cuddles, and every little happiness life has to offer.” Another wrote, “Bhai mein bhut khus hoon.... Abhinandan.” A comment read, “Yaayyyy congratulations raj.”

Earlier, Patralekhaa talked about being pregnant and shared her excitement. She told Hindustan Times, “We are super excited. Firstly, the baby’s coming, and also, professionally, our first production is going to come out in a couple of months. We are also editing our second film. So there’s a lot happening, and it’s an exciting phase. Me being pregnant has been the source of light for me this year. It’s actually a very strange journey that you take. It’s difficult because physically you look different — your body changes in these nine months. It can also be a bit overwhelming because there’s a new member who’s going to join your family.”

Rajkummar Rao and Patralekhaa fell in love on the sets of Citylights in 2014. Since then, the couple dated until they got hitched. They got married in 2021 in an intimate wedding ceremony in Chandigarh. Their wedding was a beautiful affair attended by the couple's close friends and family.
