Raju Weds Rambai OTT Release: Akhil Uddemari and Tejaswi Rao’s debut Telugu movie Raju Weds Rambai is currently ruling at the box office. Helmed by Saailu Kampati, the movie hit theatres on November 21. The Telugu movie takes inspiration from a true event that took place in Telangana. The movie has received positive word-of-mouth since its premiere and is now gearing up for its OTT release.

The movie Raju Weds Rambai, a romantic drama, is set to stream on the OTT platform ETV Win. According to distributor Bunny Vas, the film is expected to be released digitally about 50 days after its theatrical run concludes. The success of the movie's time in theaters was largely attributed to the engaging chemistry between the leads and the strong performances of the supporting cast. The talented ensemble cast features, Akhil Uddemari as Raju (the titular role), Tejaswi Rao as Rambai, Chaitu Jonnalagadda as Rambai’s father, Shivaji Raja as Raju’s father, Anitha (Anita) Chowdhary as Raju’s mother and Kavitha Srirangam in a key role.

Raju Weds Rambai Box Office Update

According to Sacnilk, Raju Weds Rambai has completed four days of theatrical release. The movie opened with Rs 1.15 crore on Friday, which is a modest collection. On Saturday and Sunday, the Telugu movie minted Rs 2.15 and 2.5 crore respectively. On the first Monday, the rom-com witnessed a sharp dip collecting Rs 1.31 crore. With this, so far the Telugu movie hasmade a total collection of Rs 7.34 crore.

Meanwhile, Saailu Kampati, the writer-director of the film Raju Weds Rambai, recently apologised for earlier controversial remarks he made about being scantily dressed at a traffic signal. Kampati, who is making his directorial debut, explained the comment was said in the moment and that as a novice director, he sometimes struggles to articulate his thoughts clearly. He regretted mentioning ‘Ameerpet’ in that context, saying, "We new directors sometimes struggle with our words, so in the moment, I mentioned Ameerpet. I regret that." He also made a lighthearted comment about performing with a band at that location, joking that the band sound would resonate from inside the theater.
