Ranveer Singh was seen at the Mumbai airport, drawing attention with his traditional appearance on Tuesday morning. As he entered the airport under tight security, the Dhurandhar actor wore a simple white kurta-pyjama and a Nehru jacket, finishing his look with sunglasses and a face mask. Even as photographers called out to him and shouted 'baba,' the actor avoided engaging with them.

Ranveer Singh made his first public appearance in the midst of the ongoing Don 3 controversy and the ban imposed by the Federation of Western India Cine Employees (FWICE).

On Monday, FWICE held a press conference to announce the ban against him. It stated that until the disagreement is settled, the members shouldn't work with Singh. Additionally, the body supported the producers' demand for recovery of purported pre-production losses of Rs 45 crore following reports that the actor left just before filming was scheduled to start.

Why Is Ranveer Singh Being Banned?

Farhan Akhtar and Riteish Sidhwani reportedly filed a case in April claiming Ranveer Singh had signed a three-film deal with their production banner Excel Entertainment. However, the actor left the project ten days before Don 3 filming could start, resulting in significant losses for the production company. FWICE claimed to have attempted to mediate the matter.

But according to the film association, Ranveer Singh refused to speak with the federation about the issue, claiming that a more 'appropriate' forum was needed.

Ranveer Singh Reacts To FWICE Ban

Ranveer Singh's spokeswoman revealed in an official statement that the star had deliberately decided to keep quiet about the matter. According to the statement, it is preferable to manage both personal and professional conversations with respect, dignity, and maturity.

Ranveer Singh has the utmost respect for the film industry and all those connected to the Don franchise, the spokesperson continued. According to the statement, despite the fact that a number of stories and theories had emerged, he had not felt the need to publicly address them or add to the speculation.
