Salman Khan recently opened up about who has inspired him the most since the 1990s, when gym goers often kept his photo as motivation. The superstar talked about Dharmendra, whom he referred to as his father. He also shared his love for him and stated that he hopes the veteran actor will get well soon. There was a time when Dharmendra called Salman his third son. So, it is quite evident that there is mutual admiration between the two actors.

During the ongoing Dabangg Tour in Qatar, Salman Khan said, “Mere aane se pehle ek hi shakhs the, aur woh hain Dharam ji”. He further mentioned that the veteran actor is like a father figure to him. “He is like my father, that’s the end. I love that man and I just hope that he will come back,” Salman added.

An old clip recently surfaced that shows the close bond between Salman, Dharmendra and Bobby Deol. The video is from the Bigg Boss, in which Dharmendra talked about Salman and said, “Waise main toh kahunga, yeh mera beta hai. Mere teen bete hain- teeno jazbaati hain, khuddar hain, transparent hain. Par yeh mujh par thoda zyada gaya hai.” The actor added, “Kyunki yeh rangeen mizaaj hai aur meri tarah thumka bhi lagata hai.”

Salman Khan paid a visit to the hospital when Dharmendra was admitted to Breach Candy Hospital. The veteran actor was in the news for his ailing health. He was discharged from the hospital on November 12 and now being treated at his residence. Sunny Deol’s team issued a statement after his discharge and wrote, “Mr. Dharmendra has been discharged from the hospital and will continue his recovery at home. We kindly request the media and the public to refrain from any further speculation and to respect his and the family’s privacy during this time. We appreciate everyone’s love, prayers, and good wishes for his continued recovery, good health, and long life. Please respect him because he loves you.”

On the other hand, Salman Khan will be next seen in Battle of Galwan. The film also features Chitrangda Singh, Abhilash Chaudhary and Ankur Bhatia in pivotal roles. Battle of Galwan is slated to be released in theatres in 2026.
