Yami Gautam has once again proved that she is one of the most versatile actresses in the Indian film industry, who can portray any role effortlessly. Currently, the actress is riding high after receiving great appreciation from people across the industry for portraying the role of Shah Bano Begum in the movie Haq. After Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Farah Khan and other prominent figures of Bollywood, Samantha Ruth Prabhu has also come forward to extend her appreciation towards the actress, praising Yami for her role, and shared how the performance moved her.
Samantha Ruth Prabhu took to her Instagram to applaud Yami Gautam's performance in the movie Haq. Sharing the movie's poster on her story, she wrote, "I had to write this the moment the film ended because I was scared I'd lose even a fraction of what it made me feel. Stories like this are rare. So deeply human. So layered. So free of judgment or bias. And even rarer when they're brought alive by an actor of this calibre @yamigautam."
Hailing the writer of the movie, Reshu Nath and further praising Yami, Samantha wrote, "@reshunath your writing stayed with me. @yamigautam your performance moved me in ways I can't fully explain. I felt everything. All at once. Love. Rage. Strength, Vulnerability. Hope. This is cinema. This is the reason we do what we do. This is why we keep choosing this path, through every high and every low."

The story is about a Muslim woman's fight for herself after her husband divorces her through triple talaq. The movie addresses issues like gender inequality, religious personal laws and rights.
