Search Trailer Out: The trailer for Search The Naina Murder Case has been released, and it promises a dark and gripping crime thriller full of twists, secrets, and suspense. Starring Konkona Sen Sharma in the lead role, the show is directed by Rohan Sippy and will premiere on JioHotstar on 10th October 2025. The series also features an ensemble cast including Shiv Pandit, Varun Thakur, Dhruv Sehgal, and Shraddha Das, all of whom play important roles in the layered narrative.
JioHotstar took to its Instagram handle to share the trailer with the caption, “Iss daldal mein sab shaq ke ghere mein hain, yahan koi beqasoor nahi! Hotstar Specials, Search: The Naina Murder Case Streaming from 10th October only on JioHotstar.” The story centres around ACP Sanyukta Das, played by Konkona Sen Sharma, who is tasked with solving the brutal murder of a teenage girl named Naina. At first glance, it looks like a straightforward case, but soon it becomes clear that every suspect has something to hide. Social media plays an important role in the investigation, acting as both a tool to uncover truths and a platform that conceals lies.

Meanwhile, Konkona’s character is not only a determined officer in the field but also a woman struggling with her personal life. She is shown managing the pressures of a broken marriage and her responsibilities at home, while leading one of the toughest cases of her career. Joining her is rookie officer ACP Jai Kanwal, played by Surya Sharma. Together, they dig into a complex case where every new lead reveals even darker truths. Speaking about her role, Konkona Sen Sharma said, “Sanyukta is confident at work while juggling the complexities of family life, which makes her journey deeply relatable. Playing her let me tap into both my strengths and vulnerabilities. This is a gripping, multilayered story that will keep viewers hooked as they navigate the maze of suspects.”
Additionally, director Rohan Sippy praised Konkona’s performance, saying that her “quiet intensity” anchors the series. He described Search: The Naina Murder Case as not just a whodunit but also an “emotional, political, and psychological maze,” filled with unexpected turns and complex characters. Furthermore, Surya Sharma, who plays ACP Jai Kanwal, shared his excitement too. He explained that his character is eager to prove himself but quickly realises the blurred lines between right and wrong in such a high-stakes investigation. Working with Konkona, he added, helped him bring out the best in his role.
