Bollywood’s King Khan had delighted his fans once again with the news of returning to the big screens with his upcoming action thriller ‘King’. Shah Rukh Khan is gearing up to grace the screens after the release of his comedy movie Dunki in 2023 with an action-packed release titled King. This is going to be a special movie for him as he will share the screen space with his daughter Suhana Khan. Reportedly, Shah Rukh Khan has declared King a pan-world project, promising a spectacle of global proportions and a testament to Indian cinema's expanding reach. But it seems like the fans have to wait a little longer to witness the actor’s magic.

King’s Release Date Changed:

Shah Rukh Khan’s King, which was supposed to hit the theatres in October 2026, has now been postponed. According to a report in Mid-Day, Siddharth Anand’s action thriller is facing a delay due to Shah Rukh Khan’s shoulder injury. A few days ago, SRK shared a video on his Instagram account, thanking and accepting his National Film Award as the Best Actor. The video showed his arm in a black cast, confirming his shoulder injury.

“King’s team has hit pause on the shoot. Shah Rukh needs to rest it out for weeks before he can face the camera again. It is an action-heavy film, so the team doesn’t want to take a chance with his health,” the report quoted a source. Revealing about the possible release date, the source claimed, “The team is now chalking out the plan for the next schedule. Earlier, King was being pegged as a Gandhi Jayanti 2026 offering. That is not possible now; it may get pushed by months to have an early 2027 release.”

Shah Rukh Khan’s next project will be his first one with his daughter Suhana Khan. Apart from these two celebrities, several other actors are reported to be a part of this grand project including Deepika Padukone, Abhishek Bachchan, Anil Kapoor, Jackie Shroff, Jaideep Ahlawat, Rani Mukerji, Arshad Warsi, Abhay Verma and Raghav Juyal.
