Tanvi The Great: Veteran actor Anupam Kher is gearing up for his directorial movie Tanvi The Great. The movie was announced last year in March, which marks the debut of a new girl, Shubhangi Dutt. She is from Anupam Kher’s acting school, Actor Prepares. In the debut Bollywood film itself, Shubhangi is playing the role of a 21-year-old autistic girl named Tanvi, who lives with her mother and grandfather. She dreamt of her deceased father, Captain Samar Raina’s dream of saluting the flag at Siachen Glacier. Tanvi becomes determined to follow in her father’s footsteps and to join the army to fulfil his dream. The character of Tanvi is quite intense and to put it on screen is quite difficult for a debutant. Let’s know more about her.

Who Is Shubhangi Dutt From Tanvi The Great?

As per a report by Biography Kind, Shubhangi was born and raised in Mumbai. Her interest in acting career in her early teens. As per the same report, she did her diploma in acting from Anupam Kher’s acting school, Actor Prepares. Her acting skills led to her selection for the movie. With Anupam Kher’s directorial, Tanvi The Great, Shubhangi will be stepping into the world of Bollywood. For Tanvi’s role, the debutant spent time with the real Tanvi in Assam, which gained deep insight in Autism. The film already gave her international recognition as it was screened internationally at Cannes, London, and New York, as well as India’s NDA.

Earlier, introducing Tanvi’s character, Anupam Kher revealed how she found Shubhangi for the role. He wrote, “It took me and our team almost three years to put it together. I was 100% sure to find #Tanvi from my acting school @actorprepares. But it was a difficult task to find TANVI! Difficult, because #Tanvi represents goodness, innocence, charm, sense of wonder, funniness and purity! Tanvi is DIFFERENT but NO LESS! It took us more than six months to find her!”

Kher further added, “One day in my master class at the school where I had asked students to shut their eyes and have total calmness on their faces, I saw #SHUBHANGI with her eyes shut and peace written all over face. Later she told us that she was actually in a dreamworld which was her security blanket. I will leave all the details for later.”

So Work hard, be honest, be real and be yourself. It will be personally for me and for the school the happiest day when world starts referring to you as #ShubhangiTheGreat. All my love and blessings! Tanvi The Great also features Boman Irani, Jackie Shroff, Iain Glen, Karan Tacker, Pallavi Joshi and Arvind Swamy in pivotal roles. It has been produced by Anupam Kher under the production company of National Film Development Corporation of India (NFDC). Tanvi The Great is slated to release in theatres on July 18.
