The Taj Story Box Office Collection Day 7: Paresh Rawal and Zakir Hussain’s latest courtroom drama The Taj Story was released in cinemas on October 31. The film opened to mixed reviews but has maintained a slow yet steady performance at the ticket windows through its first week. If the film continues to hold this momentum, it could soon move closer to profitability despite tough competition ahead. The movie is expected to face a major box office clash with Haq, Jatadhara, and The Girlfriend in the coming week.

According to early estimates by Sacnilk, The Taj Story earned Rs 0.58 crore on Day 7, bringing its total domestic collection to Rs 10.58 crore. Despite its moderate start, the film’s word-of-mouth and strong performances have helped it stay afloat. As per reports, The Taj Story has been made on a budget of Rs 25 crore, which means it still needs to earn around Rs 15 crore more to break even. The film’s ability to sustain against upcoming releases will determine its long-term success.

About The Taj Story Movie

Directed by a debut filmmaker, The Taj Story revolves around Vishnu Das, a local guide determined to uncover the “true” history of the Taj Mahal. Alongside Paresh Rawal and Zakir Hussain, the film also stars Amruta Khanvilkar, Namit Das, and Sneha Wagh in key roles. However, before its release, the movie courted controversy when two Public Interest Litigations (PILs) were filed against it, alleging that it distorted historical facts about the Taj Mahal. Paresh Rawal later clarified that the film “never intended to create any religious or political controversy.”
