Amid this buzz, Sujeeth clarified the situation and shut down the speculations with a post, expressing gratitude to Danayya for his constant support and belief.

They Call Him OG Director On Rift Rumours With Producer 

Taking to X handle, director Sujeeth shared a statement expressing appreciation for his producer and team following the film's success. The fim was released in theatres on September 25, 2025. His post read, "A lot is being said, but very few truly understand what it takes to carry a film from start to finish. The belief and strength my producer and team showed for OG can't be put into words. That's what gives this film its strength today.”

Praising Danayya for his support, he added, "It hasn’t been easy for anyone, but every bit of effort came from a place of commitment. Let’s keep the process respected. The love and madness shown by fans for Pawan Kalyan garu & OG make it all feel meaningful. Grateful to Danayya garu for his constant support and belief. With Love, Respect and Gratitude, Sujeeth."

This is not the first time that They Call Him OG director has addressed rumours. Ahead of the film's theatrical release, he publicly thanked Danayya in a social media post.

Pawan Kalyan’s Telugu action crime drama They Call Him OG is set to make its digital premiere on Netflix on October 23. It will be available in multiple languages, including Telugu, Hindi, Kannada, Tamil and Malayalam.
