Ahaan Panday has gained immense popularity after he made his Bollywood debut with Mohit Suri’s directorial Saiyaara. Among all the star kids, netizens on social media feels that Ahaan will be the next superstar in the Hindi film industry. People believe that he is following the footsteps of his paternal uncle Chunky Pandey and cousin Ananya Panday. Amid his successful stint with his debut, an old comment of the actor denying connection with Chunky Panday has resurfaced.
In 2017, during a live interaction with his fans on Instagram, Ahaan Panday was irked when he was asked about his uncle Chunky Panday. As per SpotboyE, Ahaan said, “It’s funny that my surname is Panday, but I’m nowhere connected to him. My dad is Aloke Sharad Panday, and that’s the only Panday connection I have. I have established myself in the B-town through my popularity.”
It created buzz back then also about their family feud. Ahaan’s father better known as Chikki Panday, is Chunky Panday’s younger brother. He is actually the nephew of Chunky. But there was no official confirmation about the feud. However, after Saiyaara’s release, the Pandays have shown support to Ahaan.
Chunky Panday along with his wife Bhavana Panday attended the premiere of Saiyaara. When paparazzi asked him to review the movie, he said, “Very good, best. Blockbuster.” Ahaan’s sister Alanna Panday, cousin Ananya Panday and mother Deanne Panday has been rooting for his movie through social media posts.
Apart from Ahaan Panday, Saiyaara also featured Aneet Padda. The musical romantic drama movie was released in theatres on July 18. The film opened with mixed reviews from critics and good numbers, earning Rs 21 crore. However, the movie was well received by the audience. In just 6 days of release, Saiyaara had surpassed Rs 150 crore at the Indian box office. The movie is backed by Yash Raj Films (YRF).
