Days after Smriti Mandhana and Palash Muchhal’s wedding got postponed, it has been reported that the musician was hospitalised after experiencing chest discomfort. Doctors have stated that he is currently stable and will be discharged soon. Amid a tense situation in Madhana and Muchhal’s family, doctors who treated Palash shared that his health deteriorated primarily due to stress-related distress. As reported by Mid-Day, Dr Dipendra Tripathi, one of the doctors treating Palash, said, “Palash’s condition appears to be linked to stress-related distress rather than a serious cardiac event.”
Palash was initially admitted to a hospital in Sangli, where he received his first aid treatment for the symptoms he reported. When his condition didn’t improve, he was admitted to a hospital in Mumbai late on November 24. After being admitted to SRV Hospital, Palash Muchhal reported severe chest pain, uneasiness, and difficulty breathing. Following this, the doctors conducted several cardiac arrests, including ECG and 2D echocardiography.
Dr Dipendra Tripathi added, “While certain levels were found to be slightly elevated, there was no indication of a major cardiac or medical emergency. As a basic line of treatment in such cases, oxygen therapy was started immediately. Following initial stabilisation, Palash was shifted to a general room and kept under close observation.” According to reports, based on the clinical findings and his response to treatment, doctors suspected that the episode was largely due to stress-related issues and anxiety surrounding the situation. With rest and supportive care, his condition steadily improved and his stress level has since reduced significantly. The hospital authorities informed that the musician is now stable and has been recovering well. The report further suggests that the doctors have advised him to take a complete rest for at least three weeks to ensure full recovery and prevent any recurrence of symptoms. The update came after it was reported that Smriti’s father, Shrinivas, was discharged from the Sarvhit Hospital on November 25.
