Palaash Muchhal-Smriti Mandhana Wedding Controversy: Birva Shah, the ex-girlfriend of music composer Palaash Muchhal, is back in the headlines after old photos of the music composer’s grand 2017 proposal to her resurfaced online. As rumours and speculations surrounding Palaash and cricketer Smriti Mandhana’s postponed wedding continue, the internet has begun drawing comparisons between his past relationship with Birva and his current one with Smriti. Cricketer Smriti Mandhana and music composer Palaash Muchhal were supposed to get married on November 23, 2025. However, the families announced a delay, citing a sudden medical emergency involving Smriti’s father, Shrinivas Mandhana. He has since been discharged.

Before Smriti Mandhana came into his life six years ago, Palaash Muchhal was in a serious relationship with Birva Shah. According to reports, the two met in Mumbai through mutual friends while Birva was studying at Jai Hind College. She is now said to be a practising plastic surgeon. Their relationship became widely discussed in 2017 when Palash organised a fairy-tale proposal for Birva. In the viral photos, Birva is seen wearing a white gown, while Palaash kneels in front of her with rose petals, balloons and candles surrounding the scene. This romantic gesture resurfacing online has now led fans to compare the two relationships.

While fans were still processing the wedding postponement, Palash was also admitted to hospital because of a viral infection and acidity-related complications. His sister, singer Palak Muchhal, shared a statement urging everyone to respect both families’ privacy. Things escalated when screenshots claiming to show Palaash in conversations with another woman began circulating online. These screenshots, however, remain unverified, and neither Palaash nor Smriti has spoken publicly about the cheating allegations.

They kept their relationship private for years before announcing their engagement earlier this year. Their wedding, originally scheduled for November 23, is now on hold indefinitely.
