OMG 2 Cast Fees: The sequel to the much-loved social comedy, 'OMG', featuring Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, is set for a release during the Independence Day weekend. The film takes on a new social topic, seemingly revolving around sex' education, as hinted by its first look.
In addition to Akshay Kumar and Pankaj Tripathi, the movie includes Yami Gautam, portraying a determined lawyer. The storyline revolves around Akshay Kumar's character guiding Pankaj Tripathi's character through challenging situations as a divine figure.
The budget of 'OMG 2' is reportedly around Rs 150 crores, but there has been no official confirmation regarding the exact amount yet. This is the expected budget for the Ajit Adhare production. As for the cast fees, we gathered information from Check My Budget on how much did each of the actors make from the film.
Akshay Kumar:
In 'OMG 2', Akshay Kumar portrays the character of God's messenger, guiding a devout man through difficult times. For this role, the actor reportedly decided to charge a fee of Rs 35 crores, which is considerably a lot low compared to his previous fees ranging from Rs 50 to Rs 100 crores.
Pankaj Tripathi:
Iconic actor Pankaj Tripathi portrays a god-fearing person in 'OMG 2', who places his unwavering trust in Lord Shiva. His prayers are answered when Akshay Kumar's character comes to his aid. For this role, Tripathi charged a total of Rs 5 crores.
Yami Gautam:
The actress, who was previously seen in Netflix movie 'Chor Nikal Ke Bhaaga', takes on the role of a passionate lawyer in 'OMG 2', facing off against Pankaj Tripathi in the courtroom. For this portrayal, she demanded a fee of Rs 8 crores.

Fans are eagerly anticipating the release of 'OMG 2', with reports of pre-bookings already surfacing before the trailer's official release on August 5. Directed by Amit Rai, the film is set to hit theatres on August 11, and the anticipation for its box office performance is at an all-time high.
However, 'OMG 2' recently made headlines for being granted an A certification by the CBFC (Central Board of Film Certification), indicating that it is suitable for adult audiences only. In response, the film's makers requested a U/A certification instead, and as a result, the CBFC proposed over 20 cuts to meet the criteria.
The latest reports suggest that the 'OMG 2' trailer has now received a U/A certificate from the CBFC, with the condition that Akshay Kumar's character, originally depicted as Lord Shiva, be portrayed as a messenger instead.
