Dhadak 2 OTT Release: After a long wait, the makers of the Siddhant Chaturvedi and Triptii Dimri starrer Dhadak 2 have unveiled a new release date. This comes after receiving approval from the CBFC over certification issues. Backed by Karan Johar, the film is a sequel to the 2018 movie Dhadak but features a fresh storyline and new themes. The first look posters of Siddhant and Triptii have created waves on social media, showing them in intense, never-seen-before avatars. Where To Watch Siddhant and Triptii's Dhadak 2 Online
On Monday, Karan Johar dropped intense posters of the lead cast on social media. Besides the captivating expressions of Siddhant and Triptii, which set the tone for a battle of love, the streaming platform also caught attention. After its theatrical run, the film will stream on the OTT giant Netflix, as indicated in the recently released official posters of Dhadak 2. In the image, Siddhant's eyes do the talking as they are filled with anger and fire while he holds his love Triptii in his close to protect from the danger surrounding them. In the second poster, Triptii’s character can be seen hugging him in fear and finding comfort and protection in his arms.
The tagline of the film, "Marne aur ladne mese ek ko chunna ho, toh ladna (Choose one between die and fight... So fight)," perfectly suggests what is in store for the viewers.
According to The Hindu report, Dhadak 2 has secured a U/A certificate from the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) after making 16 suggested cuts in the film. The edits required to remove dialogue with political references, caste-based terms, and religious references.
Dhadak 2 is directed by Shazia Iqbal and the screenplay is penned by Rahul Badwelkar. Mark your calendar as Dhadak 2 coming to cinemas on August 1, 2025.
