Saali Mohobbat On OTT: Radhika Apte’s Thriller Movie Directed By Tisca Chopra To Premiere On THIS Platform

Saali Mohobbat On OTT: Radhika Apte’s upcoming thriller Saali Mohabbat is set to make its digital debut on ZEE5 later this year, following its screenings at the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa and the Chicago South Asian Film Festival. The film marks the directorial debut of actress Tisca Chopra, who steps behind the camera for the first time with this intense drama. Exploring themes of love, betrayal, and hidden emotions, Saali Mohabbat promises a gripping story told from a deeply female perspective. The film stars Radhika Apte alongside Divyenndu Sharma, Anurag Kashyap, Anshumaan Pushkar, Sauraseni Maitra, and Sharat Saxena in key roles.

Produced by Jio Studios and fashion designer Manish Malhotra’s Stage5 Production, Saali Mohabbat also marks Malhotra’s debut as a digital producer. The story revolves around Smita, a small-town housewife whose seemingly peaceful life begins to fall apart as buried secrets surface. The film delves into infidelity, deceit, and identity, examining how love can transform into something darker. Speaking about her inspiration, Tisca Chopra said, “I’ve always been fascinated by the quiet tensions that lie beneath relationships the invisible power struggles, the unspoken expectations, and the way love can shift into something dangerous.”

Meanwhile, Manish Malhotra shared that his production company, Stage5, was created to back meaningful and original stories. “This project was built with deep involvement at every stage from development to the final cut. At Stage5, we don’t just produce films, we stand by them,” he said. Malhotra praised the film’s talented ensemble, calling their performances “restrained yet powerful.” Additionally, Kaveri Das, Business Head of Hindi Content at ZEE5, described Saali Mohabbat as “a thriller that’s not only about suspense but also about the emotions that drive human choices.” Jyoti Deshpande, President of Jio Studios, added that the film is “an ingeniously crafted piece that proudly extends our partnership with Manish Malhotra into the world of cinema.”
