Park Seo Joon, in a recent episode of Fairy Jaehyung, shared insightful stories about his journey in the entertainment industry, highlighting how connections and timing played crucial roles in his career. After completing his military service, Park Seo Joon found himself at a crossroads, feeling lost and uncertain about his next steps.

Fortunately, a chance connection introduced him to Kim Soo Hyun, who helped him secure a meeting with a reputable agency. “Kim Soo Hyun was happy to make the connection for me,” he recalled, expressing gratitude for his friend's support. Despite joining a well-known agency, Park Seo Joon faced tough competition, auditioning alongside thousands of other aspiring actors in a highly competitive industry.

Park Seo Joon also reminisced about his friendship with Choi Woo Shik and how it led to his cameo in the Oscar-winning film Parasite. He recounted a humorous exchange during an audition with director Bong Joon Ho, who playfully asked Choi which actor he would like to “trample on.” Choi jokingly responded, “Of course, it’s Park Seo Joon.” This light-hearted comment paved the way for Park Seo Joon's role in the critically acclaimed film, which marked a significant milestone in his career.

Additionally, Park Seo Joon discussed his rise to fame through several variety shows, particularly his appearance on Youn’s Kitchen. Although he had been building his acting portfolio for years, it was this reality show that catapulted him into the spotlight. “I was flooded with advertisement offers after Youn's Kitchen,” he said with a hint of bittersweet humour, acknowledging that while he was grateful for the recognition, it felt a bit disappointing that variety shows often overshadow serious acting work.
