Pushpa 2: The Rule director Sukumar who created waves with his creation at the box office recently left fans in shock with his statement about leaving cinema. Ever since Pushpa 2 has released, the movie has been embroiled in controversy. The lead actor of the film, Allu Arjun has been facing legal issues after the death of a woman in the stampede that occurred during Pushpa 2's premiere in Hyderabad.
Director Sukumar recently attended an event in Hyderabad where he was asked about one thing that he would want to leave. Sukumar jokingly said, “Cinema." His response to this question left everyone present in shock. Even Ram Charan, who was sitting next to him, got amazed with his reply and expressed that he should not leave filmmaking. RRR star also took the mic away from the director.

Pushpa 2 has been in news for facing legal actions for the demise of a woman who died during a stampede ahead of the movie release. A stampede broke out at Sandhya theatre during the screening of movie when Allu Arjun arrived at the premire to greet his fans. A woman was killed and her eight-year-old son Sri Tej, was critically injured in the stampede. After this incident, Allu Arjun was taken into custody and held overnight. Over the weekend, a group of people also vandalised his Hyderabad residence.

Pushpa 2: The Rule broke all the records at the box office since it hit the theatres. The movie also stars besides Allu Arjun, Rashmika Mandanna, Fahadh Faasil and Jagapathi Babu. The action thriller has been released in multiple languages, including Hindi, Tamil, Kannada, Bengali and Malayalam. According to early estimates by Sacnilk, Pushpa 2 reportedly collected Rs 12.25 crore net domestically on its 19th day at the box office.
