Allu Arjun- Deepika Padukone's Raaka To Release In Two Parts; Plot Hints At Puranic Era And Modern World’s Clash: Report

Allu Arjun's upcoming film Raaka, directed by Atlee, is reportedly getting even bigger than expected. According to a new report, the ambitious project is being developed as a two-part franchise with a story spanning two different timelines. Backed by a massive budget of over Rs 1,000 crore, the film is expected to deliver a grand cinematic experience featuring mythology, action and modern-day storytelling on an unprecedented scale.

Raaka Reportedly Planned As A Two-Part Franchise

As per a recent exclusive report in India Today, Raaka will not be restricted to just a single movie but the makers are planning a two part franchise which will take place in two different timelines.

An insider associated with the movie revealed, "Raaka is being planned as a two-part franchise film, divided between different timelines. One is set in a tribal Puranic Vedic period, while the other unfolds in a modern contemporary world."

The movie is believed to be made on a budget of more than Rs 1,000 crore, making it one of the most expensive Indian films currently in production.

Raaka's Different Timelines, Different Leading Ladies

The report further claimed that the story will feature different female leads in both timelines.

As per the source, "While Mrunal Thakur will be the lead in modern time, Deepika Padukone, Janhvi Kapoor, and Rashmika Mandanna will be a part of the history timeline."

It will be an interesting narrative where both ancient and modern world will be linked with the help of one protagonist who is played by Allu Arjun.

Shah Rukh Khan's Cameo Still Pending

The source also revealed that Shah Rukh Khan's much-talked-about cameo has not been filmed yet. "SRK's cameo too needs to be shot. This scene is scheduled to be shot abroad," said the source, which means the scene will be shot on the foreign schedule of the movie.

Though the film has already managed to create buzz due to its grandeur, star-cast, and the Atlee–Allu Arjun collaboration, the makers have not yet confirmed the alleged split release plan of the film.
