Raj Kundra Controversy: Raj Kundra, the businessman and husband of actor Shilpa Shetty, has been involved in legal disputes since he was charged in 2019 with creating and disseminating pornographic material. He has now responded to the controversy by stating that he finds it incomprehensible that his family is involved.
Raj Kundra discussed several facets of his life and court cases in an interview with ANI. He explained that 'silence is bliss' as the reason he hasn't discussed the accusations in public up to this point. The businessman went on to say that he finds it incoherent that his family is involved in his legal disputes.
He said, "But when it comes to family and when family members are involved, I feel I should come out and speak. When I stay quiet, people think I'm hiding something. And people should realize the truth... Shilpa Shetty has earned such a big name for herself here, she has worked so hard. It is so unfair that the controversy is mine, and you are involving my wife's name. Why? Because you get clickbait? You are spoiling her reputation for views. She has nothing to do with this, so why involve her? Just because I am her husband (sic)."

Raj Kundra claims Shilpa Shetty is being used as clickbait.
"I have been here for 15 years, from an IPL team owner to a businessman who has made many investments in India. I don’t think I am not well-known. It is wrong to spoil someone’s reputation like this. You can say anything about me, but don’t involve my family unnecessarily... My wife has been very supportive; she knows what I can and cannot do. My entire family has been very supportive (sic), " Kundra added.

Raj Kundra also denied being involved in the creation of any pornographic content during the interview, emphasising how devastating the accusations were. He clarified that his only responsibility was to support his brother-in-law's business technologically. The company ran an app in the UK with bold but non-pornographic content.
About Raj Kundra's Pornographic Case
Raj Kundra was arrested in 2019 on suspicion of creating pornographic material and disseminating it via Hotshots and other mobile applications. He was the subject of a money laundering case brought by the ED in 2022. Raj is also being investigated in a separate money laundering case involving Bitcoin fraud.
