After facing intense public scrutiny and trolling, Rhea Chakraborty is embracing a fresh start. She recently made her podcast debut with "Chapter 2," reflecting her current mental state. Acting is no longer a priority for her. She has found a new passion in motivational speaking, which she now pursues as her main profession.

Rhea’s life took a dramatic turn in 2020 after the tragic death of her boyfriend, Sushant Singh Rajput. She was arrested in a drug-related case linked to his death and faced relentless media attention and public backlash. Despite the challenges, she feels she has finally regained control of her narrative.

Her podcast, Chapter 2, symbolizes her new beginning. In the first episode, featuring actor Sushmita Sen, Rhea candidly spoke about her journey. She addressed the confusion about her career, stating, “I am not acting in films. I do other things; I do motivational speaking, and that’s how I earn my money.”

Rhea explained that the podcast's name is inspired by her own life. “Everyone knows my ‘chapter one,’ or they think they do. I went through many phases of feeling different emotions and being different versions of myself. Now, I feel more like myself, but a newer version, like a rebirth. I want to celebrate that with anyone who has a ‘chapter two.’ It’s okay to start again and move on in life. I want to celebrate change.”

Reflecting on her past, Rhea noted that people didn’t hate her but the persona she had created for the public. She feels that her image was misinterpreted, leading to widespread disdain. However, she now humorously refers to her ability to polarize opinions as a ‘superpower.’ She joked that some people think she has done something wrong or even practices “black magic,” while others see her as a strong woman who faced her challenges with courage.

The tragic case of Sushant Singh Rajput's death in June 2020 continues to be a significant chapter in Rhea’s life. The Mumbai police initially registered an Accidental Death Report (ADR), but Sushant's father later complained alleging that Rhea and her family had abetted his suicide. Both Rhea and her brother Showik were arrested by the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) in connection with the case but were later granted bail. Earlier this year, a special court under the NDPS Act permitted Rhea to travel abroad with her family for a short holiday in Thailand.
