Kaathal The Core is performing exceptionally well on the box office. It has collected Rs 1.80 crore on day 4. With this the collection of the film now stands at Rs 5.70 Crore. The film had an overall 47.35 per cent Malayalam Occupancy on Sunday, November 26, 2023. Released on November 23, Kaathal features Mammootty portraying Mathew Devassy, a retired banker turned politician, alongside Jyothika as Omana Mathew, his wife.
The narrative delves into the complexities of their marriage within a close-knit village community. Mammootty's character grapples with being a closeted homosexual, leading to marital discord with Jyothika's character.
