'Satyaprem Ki Katha' Box Office Collection: The romantic movie 'Satyaprem Ki Katha,' directed by Sameer Vidwans and featuring Kartik Aaryan and Kiara Advani, had an advance screening on Thursday, commencing its box office journey with a promising start. As per reports, the film garnered an impressive collection of Rs 8.50 crore on its opening day.

According to a report published on boxofficeindia.com, the film's earnings were sufficient to secure its position as the 6th highest-grossing film on the opening day list for the year 2023.

Following Shah Rukh Khan's 'Pathaan,' which holds the top spot with a remarkable collection of Rs 55.72 crore, 'Satyaprem Ki Katha' secures the sixth position on the list. 'Adipurush' claims second place with earnings of Rs 31.73 crore, while 'Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar' accumulates Rs 13.78 crore and 'Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan' garners Rs 13.39 crore, placing them in the third and fourth positions, respectively. 'Bholaa' concludes the top five with a collection of Rs 10.12 crore.

Trade experts have attributed the film's strong initial performance to the Eid holiday, which provided a boost to its box office figures. However, they predicted a drop in collections on the second day due to it being a regular working day. Anticipations were that the film would witness an upward trend in numbers during the weekend, specifically on Saturday and Sunday.

But contrary to all expectations, the romantic comedy has exceeded predictions by collecting an estimated net amount of Rs 7.20 crore in India on its second day of release. This figure is quite impressive and indicates a positive future for the movie. The movie's total collection now stands at Rs 16.45 crore.
