In a tragic turn of events, an innocent young man was killed in a fan fight in the state of Andhra Pradesh, which has shocked the entire nation. If the report in OTTPlay is to be believed, a Prabhas fan killed a Pawan Kalyan fan after a minor disagreement turned deadly. Kishore and Hari Kumar, two young employees, headed to Attili, AP, for home painting job. Kishore had a WhatsApp status on Pawan Kalyan, which Hari Kumar insisted on altering with a photo of Prabhas.
A lighthearted debate about this turned serious, and Hari Humar, an enthusiastic Prabhas supporter, lost his temper and grabbed a rod off the floor, hitting Kishore in the head many times. Things grew pretty bad, and regrettably, Kishore died on the way to the hospital.
This is not the first time that any such incident has taken place, earlier, as oer a report in Indian Express, on April 24, 2020, a Rajinikanth fan in Villupuram got into a fight with a Vijay fan about who had contributed more for coronavirus. Things escalated to the point when the Rajinikanth fan, enraged, pushed the Vijay supporter, killing him.
There is no doubt in the fact that Telugu-speaking audiences are huge film buffs. There is hero worship, and supporters will go to any length to ensure that their favourite hero is in the headlines.
But, star heroes have reminded fans on several times that they have a very deep relationship and that fans should be wise enough to see this and not quarrel among themselves.
