Kajal Aggarwal, who began her acting career with a Telugu film, Lakshmi Kalyanam (2007), quickly gained recognition for her performances. Her breakthrough came with the Tamil film Pazhani (2008) and the Telugu film Magadheera (2009), which were major commercial successes. Kajal made her Bollywood debut with Kyun! Ho Gaya Na in 2004, but her popularity soared with hits like Singham, where she starred alongside Ajay Devgn, and Special 26. Now, Kajal has joined the cast of Salman Khan's Sikandar.

The announcement was made via Kajal’s Instagram post. Directed by A.R. Murugadoss, the film also features Rashmika Mandanna as the female lead. In her post, Kajal shared a photo from her first day on set, holding her VIP identification card alongside a bouquet of sunflowers. She tagged Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment and Rashmika, with the hashtag '#sikandar Day 1'.

As reported by Filmfare, Kajal Aggarwal’s role in Sikandar is still under wraps. The film, which began shooting in June, features an ambitious action sequence set 33,000 feet in the air with Salman Khan inside a plane. The production is currently in a 45-day shooting phase before relocating to a palace in Hyderabad. The highly anticipated film is scheduled for Eid 2024.

The excitement is further fueled by A.R. Murugadoss, renowned for his successful films Ghajini and Holiday: A Soldier Is Never Off Duty, marking his return to Bollywood.

In 2022, she featured in Hey Sinamika, directed by Brinda, featuring Dulquer Salmaan and Aditi Rao Hydari alongside her. The movie premiered on March 3, 2022. In 2023, she appeared in Bhagavanth Kesari, directed by Anil Ravipudi, which received mixed reviews from critics.

Currently, Aggarwal is working on Indian 3, an upcoming film that stars Kamal Haasan, Siddharth, and Rakul Preet Singh.
