Mallika Rajput Death: In a shocking turn of events, singer and actor Mallika Rajput, also recognized by her stage name Vijay Lakshmi, was found dead in her residence under circumstances shrouded in suspicion. According to authorities, she was found hanging from a ceiling fan in a room located in the Sitakund locality within the jurisdiction of the Kotwali police station.
According to a report in India Today, Sumitra Singh, Mallika's mother, expressed that she was unaware of when the tragic incident occurred, as the family was asleep at the time. Shriram Pandey, the in-charge of the Kotwali police station, indicated that preliminary investigations suggest a possible case of suicide. Nevertheless, he emphasised that the precise cause of death would only be determined upon receipt of the postmortem report.
Who Is Mallika Rajput?
Mallika Rajput, who played a supporting role in the 2014 crime comedy 'Revolver Rani' starring Kangana Ranaut, transitioned into the entertainment industry spotlight. Additionally, she featured in the music video for Shaan's song 'Yaara Tujhe'. Despite her initial foray into politics by joining the Bharatiya Janta Party (BJP) in 2016, she parted ways with the political organization two years later.
In the year 2022, Mallika Rajput assumed the position of National Secretary General for the Bharatiya Savarna Sangh in Uttar Pradesh.
