Stree 2 Twitter Review: Sarkate Ka Aatank, directed by Amar Kaushik, stars Shraddha Kapoor, Rajkummar Rao, Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee, and Aparshakti Khurana. This sequel to Stree (2018) is the fourth installment in the Maddock Supernatural Universe. Released in theaters on August 15, 2024, the film picks up after the events of Stree, with the small town of Chanderi now terrorised by a headless creature that is abducting women. The town faces a new wave of fear as this sinister entity strikes again. Bicky, Janna, Bittu, and Rudra come together once more to confront and overcome the malevolent force.

Stree 2 picks up from the events of the first film, unveiling a new threat in Chanderi—Sarkata, a headless entity targeting women who have adopted modern lifestyles. The narrative takes a personal twist when Bittu, played by Aparshakti Khurana, finds his girlfriend, Chitti, among Sarkata’s victims. Pankaj Tripathi’s character, Rudra, receives a letter containing missing pages from the Chanderi Puraan. Armed with this crucial information, Bicky (Rajkummar Rao), Bittu, and Jana (Abhishek Banerjee) embark on a quest to find and vanquish Sarkata, with help from Shraddha Kapoor’s character, who remains unnamed in this installment.

Written by Niren Bhatt and produced by Maddock Films and Jio Studios, Stree 2 is the fourth film in the Maddock Supernatural Universe and a sequel to Stree (2018). Early reviews describe the film as a blockbuster, praising the comedic chemistry between Shraddha Kapoor and Rajkummar Rao. The actress is celebrated as a female superstar for her performance, contributing to the film’s success as a laughter riot. A user wrote, "#Stree2 4/5 stars ... In Stree 2, the cast features Shraddha Kapoor as the Girl with No Name, Rajkummar Rao as Vicky, Pankaj Tripathi as Rudra, Abhishek Banerjee as Jana, and Aparshakti Khurana as Bittu. Sunita Rajwar plays Jana's mother, while Mushtaq Khan and Aakash Dabhade also appear in supporting roles. Tamannaah Bhatia makes a special appearance in the song 'Aaj Ki Raat,' and Amar Kaushik has a cameo in the same song. Additionally, Varun Dhawan appears as Bhaskar/Bhediya, and Akshay Kumar has a special appearance in the film.
