Bobby Deol, portraying the antagonist Abrar Haque in 'Animal,' approached his character with a unique perspective. He refrained from viewing Abrar as a traditional villain, instead interpreting him as someone scarred by childhood trauma. In his portrayal, Bobby sees Abrar as a mute gangster seeking retribution for his grandfather's suicide, which left him voiceless. According to PTI, The Asharam actor, who returned to the big screen with after four years, described Abrar as a 'family man'. "I didn't think of my character as a villain. I saw my character as a child who was traumatised when he saw his grandfather committing suicide, so he loses his voice. He swears to avenge his grandfather's death."
In 2023, the Deol brothers have seen significant success. Sunny Deol's 'Gadar 2' emerged as a blockbuster hit, while Bobby Deol received widespread acclaim for his performance in Sandeep Reddy Vanga's 'Animal.'
