Taapsee Pannu and Kirti Kulhari shared the screen space for the first time ever in the 2016 judicial thriller Pink. The latter recently revealed how she felt sidelined during the movie's promotion, which also starred Amitabh Bachchan, Andrea Tariang, Angad Bedi, Tushar Pandey, Piyush Mishra and Dhritiman Chatterjee.

Taapsee Pannu has now reacted to the issue and stated that she would have handled the situation differently if she had been aware. Speaking to Times of India, Taapsee said, "She has the full right to feel the way she does. I would be the last person to tell someone what you are feeling is wrong. If someone has felt a certain way, I’m sure there’s a reason."

Taapsee Pannu further added, "That person voiced whatever they did. Had I known that she felt sidelined in any way, I would have liked to speak to her at that point and ask if there was something I could do to make it better. Unfortunately, I did not know there was an issue at that point. So, I don’t know what to do with it. I can’t discard her feelings."

Taapsee Pannu discussed their equation and admitted that although she and Kirti may not be good friends, their working relationship hasn't changed. She also mentioned that while Kirti might have had a different perspective on the relationship and felt distant, she always acted professionally.

Taapsee Pannu went on to say that she wasn't aware of any differences and that nothing changed for her professionally even when they worked together in Mission Mangal. In her view, Kirti was still the same person she had collaborated with on Pink.
